Anitta and Shakira have joined forces on a new track, “Choka Choka.” This vibrant collaboration serves as the second single from Anitta’s highly anticipated album, Equilibrivm, following the release of “Pinterest” last month.

In a recent press statement, Anitta described “Choka Choka” as an ode to the “free woman—self-aware, cheeky, complex, and incredibly powerful; elements that have always been part of my universe.” The song, a collaborative effort co-produced by Rio de Janiero DJ Papatinho and Nigerian producer Doramola, seamlessly blends verses in both Portuguese and English, showcasing the artists' global appeal.
Anitta is slated to perform “Choka Choka” live on SNL this Saturday, taking the stage as the musical guest alongside host Colman Domingo. Equilibrivm is set to drop next Thursday, April 16, marking a follow-up to her 2024 release, Funk Generation.
Meanwhile, Shakira is gearing up to resume her international tour in June, supporting her 2024 album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. The tour includes a series of U.S. arena shows, followed by an impressive 11-night residency in Madrid at a specially erected pop-up stadium named in her honor.
