Artists Abandon Wasserman Agency Following CEO's Epstein Link
Artists are leaving Wasserman Group, with Chappell Roan announcing her exit. This comes after CEO Casey Wasserman's connection to Jeffrey Epstein surfaced in newly released documents.

Artists are departing from the talent management company Wasserman Group after founder and CEO Casey Wasserman appeared in the latest release of the Epstein files. Wasserman was long known to have traveled on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's plane in 2002, but the latest cache of documents revealed e-mail exchanges with Ghislaine Maxwell, the Epstein associate and convicted child sex trafficker. Now, as rumored, Chappell Roan has announced her exit from the agency.
"As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman," she wrote on her Instagram Story, continuing:
>I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values.
>I have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists and I refuse to passively stand by. Artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity. This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.
Along with artists leaving the roster, some are offering an ultimatum, threatening to leave if Wasserman doesn't step down and divest or sell the company. Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino was the first to speak, writing in an open letter, "This is a call for him to step down and a change of business name be imminent."
Wasserman is also the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics Organizing Committee Chairperson and many LA politicians are also pressuring him step down. So far the Olympics committee is standing by him.
Over the weekend Wasserman Group removed the massive list of artists on their roster from their website. Billie Eilish left the agency in 2024 following allegations that Wasserman had “serial” affairs with junior staff members.
