Barry Manilow Announces 'What a Time,' His First Album in 15 Years

Barry Manilow is making a grand return with What a Time, slated for release on June 5th. This album, produced by Manilow alongside his trusted collaborator Michael Lloyd, marks his 33rd studio effort and his first predominantly original LP since 2011's 15 Minutes.

The 13-track LP boasts collaborations with Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Dave Cobb, and longtime co-writers Bruce Sussman and Adrienne Anderson. Manilow has already shared the first single, “Sun Shine,” co-written with Gary Barlow and produced by Manilow, David Benson, and Greg Bartheld.

What a Time kicks off with the previously released single “Once Before I Go,” a love song executive-produced by Clive Davis and co-written by Dean Pitchford and Peter Allen. The album also features a duet with Sharon “Muffy” Hendrix and an appearance by Dave Koz.

The album announcement follows Manilow's recent postponement of his arena tour due to surgery to remove a cancerous spot on his lung. Initially set to begin his 2026 farewell tour in January, he had to reschedule. Further delays were announced in February as he needed more recovery time before returning to the stage. He is now scheduled to commence his tour on April 13 in Belmont Park, New York, at the UBS Arena.
