Belle & Sebastian Expand Landmark 30th Anniversary Tour with New UK & European Dates

Belle & Sebastian are adding more dates to their expansive UK and European tour, marking 30 years since the release of their seminal albums, ‘Tigermilk’ and ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’.

The Glasgow band initially announced this celebratory tour last summer, revealing plans to hit the road in 2026 to honor three decades of their landmark first two studio albums.

The tour, which commenced in February, saw Stuart Murdoch and his bandmates embark on a series of double-header shows across Europe, the UK, and North America. Each city hosted two consecutive nights: one dedicated to a full performance of ‘Tigermilk’, and the other showcasing ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ in its entirety.

Originally, the tour was set to conclude on June 26 and 27 with two back-to-back performances at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Bandstand. However, due to popular demand, Belle & Sebastian have now unveiled an additional round of UK and European dates for late 2026.

These newly announced shows will take place between November 27 and December 9. The itinerary includes gigs in Athens, Rome, Munich, Frankfurt, and more, followed by a series of UK stops in Nottingham, Norwich, Cardiff, Bristol, Bexhill-on-Sea, Liverpool, Sheffield, and a final return to Glasgow.

Most of these new dates will feature a full rendition of ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ alongside a selection of fan favourites. Exceptions include Rotterdam, Nottingham, and Bristol, where the band will perform ‘Tigermilk’ in its entirety, complemented by other beloved tracks.

Tickets for these additional shows are scheduled to go on general sale at 9am BST/10am CEST on Friday (June 19). Fans are encouraged to visit official ticketing platforms for more information and to secure their spots.

Beyond these anniversary celebrations, Belle & Sebastian also have a busy schedule of previously announced live performances. These include festival slots at Halifax’s Live At The Piece Hall and the On The Mount at Wasing series in Berkshire, as well as a series of Australian tour dates slated for September.

While ‘Tigermilk’ and ‘If You’re Feeling Sinister’ cemented Belle & Sebastian’s status as cult favourites among the ‘90s indie scene, the band has consistently remained active, releasing ten further studio albums. Their most recent offering, ‘Late Developers’, arrived in 2023.

Earlier this month, the Scottish indie stalwarts also unveiled their spirited 2026 Scotland World Cup anthem, ‘It Only Takes One Lion’.

The anthem was penned in the wake of the team’s surprising 4-2 qualifying victory against Denmark. Frontman Stuart Murdoch later shared insights into the track with NME.

“I never planned it. I woke up with a tune in my head and a feeling,” he explained. “That’s the way it should always be for songs. I couldn’t control myself and it was quite straight-forward. I wrote this initial bit about how I felt about the current World Cup team and the qualifying game. It was more introspective.”

He elaborated: “When it starts off with, ‘The days are dark and long…’, it’s just my general feeling about football. I’ve been going to see my own team quite a lot recently. It’s my little anthem for how I feel about football and following Scotland for the last 50 years, just the ups and downs. It’s quite a heartfelt thing.”

Since the anthem’s release, Scotland played their first match at the 2026 World Cup, securing a 1–0 victory against Haiti on Sunday (June 14). Midfielder John McGinn scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute, marking the nation’s first World Cup finals win in 36 years.
