Bryan Cranston Promises 'Oh My God!' Moment in Madonna's 'The Studio' Cameo
Madonna's upcoming cameo on 'The Studio' season 2 is set to be a showstopper, with Bryan Cranston teasing a scene that will leave viewers in utter disbelief.
Bryan Cranston's character, Griffin Mill, CEO of Continental Studios in The Studio, is in for a wild ride with Madonna next season, according to the actor himself.
Speaking to Access Hollywood on Tuesday (March 12), Cranston revealed that the Queen of Pop's cameo in the upcoming second season of the Apple TV+ series involves a potentially humiliating 'truth-or-dare' scenario. "In this next season of The Studio, I do something in front of Madonna in a truth-or-dare test,” he began.
"It’s a dare, and I do something that will either raise my street cred very high or destroy my career," he continued. "It’s one of the two. But I guarantee you, you will utter to yourselves, ‘Oh my God!’”
"You will be watching this like this,” Cranston added, demonstrating the look of shock he anticipates viewers having. “And you will not believe.”
Fans first caught wind of Madonna's appearance on The Studio in March, following sightings on set in Italy. Variety later reported that she would guest star in two episodes of the Seth Rogen-led program, with a storyline that mirrors her real-life challenges in developing her biopic.
This role marks Madonna’s first on-screen acting appearance in over two decades, since her 2003 appearance on Will & Grace. Cranston’s update arrives as Madonna prepares to release Confessions II, the follow-up to her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, in July.
“She is an extraordinary person. I mean, she’s Madonna,” the Breaking Bad alum added on Access Hollywood. “She’s one of the most famous people in all the world. And we were in Venice, Italy, shooting two episodes over there. And it was almost like a pinch-me time. You’re going, ‘Look at where we are with Madonna!’”
