BTS Shatters Records with Seoul Comeback Concert: A Resounding Return After Four Years

Over a quarter of a million fans flocked to Seoul this Saturday to witness BTS' triumphant return to the stage. The show not only marked their first full concert in four years but also established a new benchmark as the largest public concert ever held in South Korea.

While 22,000 fortunate fans secured coveted "Golden Tickets" for designated seating, an astounding ten times that number gathered nearby to experience the free concert via video screens, as reported by CNN.

The Comeback Live – Arirang event, also streamed live on Netflix, showcased the debut performances of eight tracks from BTS' newly launched album, Arirang. Among these were "Body to Body," "Aliens," "Normal," and "2.0," alongside beloved hits like "Dynamite," "Butter," and "Mic Drop."

The concert proceeded despite a last-minute setback: an injury to RM. He performed seated while his bandmates commanded the stage. Big Hit, BTS’ label, had announced earlier in the week that RM suffered “a sprain of the accessory navicular, a partial ligament tear, and a talus contusion (which includes ligament damage and inflammation,” which limited his on-stage performance.

Following the release of their fifth studio album Arirang on Friday, BTS is preparing for an extensive 82-date world tour, commencing on April 9th. Before embarking on the tour, BTS is scheduled to perform in the U.S. on March 23rd for the Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE event, marking their first stateside performance since their hiatus due to South Korea’s mandatory military service. They are also slated to appear on The Tonight Show.
