BTS Takes Mexico City: Behind-the-Scenes Video of Presidential Visit Coming Soon
BTS fans, get ready! The K-pop sensation is dropping a behind-the-scenes video of their visit to Mexico's National Palace, including their meeting with President Claudia Sheinbaum.

Get ready, ARMY! BTS is giving fans an inside look at their historic visit to Mexico. A video documenting their meeting with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum at the National Palace is set to premiere on Wednesday, May 27, on the group's official accounts.
The announcement was made via an Instagram story on Tuesday, May 26.
"BTS Visits Mexico’s National Palace: Behind The Scenes,” the post reads, available in both English and Korean. The video will drop at 8 p.m. KST (7 a.m. ET), which translates to 5 a.m. in Mexico. Details remain scarce, heightening anticipation among fans.
The video promises to showcase the meeting attended by all seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. A highlight will likely be their appearance on the balcony of the National Palace, where Mexican presidents traditionally deliver the "Grito de Independencia." From there, the group greeted an estimated 50,000 fans who gathered for a glimpse of the K-pop icons.
Before addressing the crowd, the members delivered messages in both Spanish and English to their dedicated ARMY, sparking cheers, smiles, and tears. Fans had waited for hours in the heat ahead of the group's three concerts held on May 7, 9, and 10 at the GNP Seguros Stadium as part of their ARIRANG tour.
President Sheinbaum also shared her excitement on social media, posting a photo with the group. "I am delighted to welcome one of the most beloved groups among young people in Mexico: BTS," she wrote. "Music and values unite Mexico and South Korea."
However, the invitation sparked some controversy, with some ARMY members asking the president not to politicize the visit. Sheinbaum later teased a possible BTS return to Mexico in 2027. So far, BigHit Music and HYBE have not confirmed any future plans for the group in the country.
Sheinbaum has publicly supported the ARMY's hopes for more concerts, even writing to her South Korean counterpart, Lee Jae Myung, to request additional shows. The South Korean government responded by forwarding the request to the group's management company.
