BTS Takes Over the Guggenheim: Exclusive Look at Secret Performance

The Guggenheim in New York City, a globally recognized art institution, became the stage for BTS on Wednesday, March 25, ahead of their appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Billboard was present as RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook performed songs from their latest album, ARIRANG, released earlier in March. The setlist included "SWIM," the album's lead single, and "2.0."

Around 150 fans were invited to this top-secret event, where phones were strictly prohibited. The group performed in the Guggenheim’s rotunda. Although RM danced during "SWIM," he remained seated on a stool for "2.0" due to an ankle injury sustained before their March 21 comeback show in Seoul.

As previously announced, the Bangtan Boys appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for their first full-group late-night interview since reuniting. One of the Guggenheim performances aired during the show, with the second performance broadcasted on Thursday, March 26.

The Guggenheim showcase and Fallon appearance were part of the promotion for ARIRANG, their first full-length album since 2020's Be, which topped the Billboard 200 chart. Prior to this, the members engaged with ARMY in an immersive Spotify fan event.
