Céline Dion Comeback? Posters Spark Paris Concert Rumors

Paris is currently plastered with posters bearing Céline Dion song titles, ranging from "Pour Que tu M’aimes Encore" to "Power of Love." These billboards have ignited speculation that the singer is planning a series of comeback concerts.

This weekend, the French outlet La Presse reported that Dion is planning residency-style appearances at Paris La Défense Arena in September and October. The rumored series of shows would include two performances per week at the 40,000-capacity venue.

Representatives for Dion have yet to comment.

Dion last performed a full headlining concert in 2020 during her Courage tour. The tour was cut short due to the pandemic. As her struggles with stiff-person syndrome became more apparent, taking the stage became increasingly difficult. "Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to," Dion said in 2022.

As there is no cure for the rare neurological disease, Dion has been learning to live with it, maintaining her health through consistent exercise. "Five days a week, I undergo athletic, physical, and vocal therapy," she said in 2024. "I work on my toes, my knees, my calves, my fingers, my singing, my voice … I have to learn to live with it now and stop questioning myself."

Dion has made rare appearances in recent years. In 2024, she performed "Hymne à L’amour" at the Paris Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. Later that year, she performed "The Power of Love" and "I’m Alive" at the 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab fashion show in Saudi Arabia.
