Clipse Reunites with Pharrell for Electrifying Grammys Performance
Virginia Beach's iconic trio, Clipse, reunited with Pharrell Williams at the Grammys for a memorable performance of 'So Far Ahead,' marking a triumphant return and celebrating their recent win for 'Chains & Whips' featuring Kendrick Lamar...

Pharrell Williams and Clipse, comprised of brothers Pusha T and Malice, graced the Grammys stage in matching white suits and fur coats, backed by a chorus, to perform "So Far Ahead" from their Grammy-nominated album Let God Sort Em Out. The performance concluded with simulated snowfall, a nod to their lyrical themes of navigating the underworld.
The trio's night was already a success before their performance. Clipse took home the award for best rap performance for "Chains & Whips,” featuring a verse from Kendrick Lamar.
“We already took one home for best rap performance, so really happy about that,” <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHro_-2jjSk" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHro_-2jjSk" rel="nofollow">Pusha T said</a> during an interview on the red carpet. ‘Chains & Whips,’ shout-out Kendrick Lamar. We already won for the night.” The Clipse was also nominated for best rap album, but lost out to Lamar’s <em><a href="https://www.billboard.com/lists/kendrick-lamar-gnx-album-song-rankings/" data-type="link" data-id="https://www.billboard.com/lists/kendrick-lamar-gnx-album-song-rankings/">GNX</a></em>.
Let God Sort Em Out reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 last year, solidifying Clipse's impact on the music scene.
Later in the show, Pharrell Williams received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, presented by his mentor Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. In his acceptance speech, Pharrell emphasized the influence of Q-Tip and A Tribe Called Quest on his career, and gave props to Dr. Dre. He also recalled watching rap videos on MTV with Pusha T.
Pharrell boasts an impressive 13 Grammy wins and 43 nominations, while Clipse has garnered six nominations, including their nod in 2002 alongside Justin Timberlake for “Like I Love You.”
