Daft Punk Unearths New 'Human After All' Music Video on Breakup Anniversary

Five years ago, Daft Punk fans mourned as the iconic duo announced their split. But even in disbandment, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo continue to surprise. To commemorate the anniversary, a new music video for their 2005 single “Human After All” has surfaced, featuring unseen footage from their 2006 sci-fi film Electroma, edited by Cédric Hervet.

The video depicts Daft Punk driving through a desert landscape before arriving in a suburban town. The robots observe the residents, each wearing a helmet identical to their own.

Last fall, Daft Punk made a splash in the virtual world by joining Fortnite. Additionally, a collection of Human After All remixes was released on vinyl to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary. Remixes came courtesy of artists like Justice, Soulwax, Basement Jaxx, Erol Alkan, and the Juan Maclean. Human After All preceded what would be their final album, Random Access Memories.
