Demi Lovato made a memorable appearance on The Tonight Show, captivating the audience with a performance of her evocative song “Ghost” and engaging in a lively conversation with host Jimmy Fallon about her recent wedding and her album, It’s Not That Deep.

For her performance, Lovato was accompanied by a pianist, creating an intimate setting for the lovelorn ballad. The lyrics resonated deeply as she sang, “The one thing that I’m scared of/ Is that your love could be temporary,” and “I could die just looking at you/But if you go before I do/I hope you flicker the lights/And send a chill down my spine so cold/Wanna be haunted for life by your ghost.”

During the interview with Fallon, Lovato discussed her album, released last year, and her new cookbook, One Plate at a Time. She also shared details about her wedding, which featured a special performance by Goo Goo Dolls' John Rzeznik of their iconic song “Iris.”

"We were so grateful to have him perform,” she said. “It was a no-brainer. We definitely wanted that song as our first dance, and he absolutely smashed it… There was a sing-along moment. It was really, really cute and sweet.”

She also enlisted Paris Hilton to DJ at the wedding. “She’s so iconic,” Lovato said. “And it was electric.”

Lovato also recounted her experience appearing on stage with the Jonas Brothers at MetLife Stadium last summer. “It was so much fun,” she said. “We had a blast and performing those songs was so nostalgic for me. We had the best time and it was great to see them. I was so nervous!”

Later in the show, Lovato and Fallon participated in the “Musical Genre Challenge,” showcasing their versatility by performing hit songs in various styles.

Lovato recently postponed the start of her It’s Not That Deep tour, which will now commence in Orlando on April 13. Several previously scheduled stops, including Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Denver, and Charlotte, North Carolina, have been canceled.

“My Lovatics — I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can,” Lovato shared on Instagram last month. “While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible. To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.”
