The hip-hop collective The Scythe, comprised of Denzel Curry, A$AP Ferg, TiaCorine, Bktherula, and Key Nyata, is making waves with the announcement of their debut album, Strictly 4 the Scythe. The album is set to drop on March 6 via Loma Vista.
The lead single, "Lit Effect," produced by BNYX, showcases the dynamic energy of Curry and Bktherula, amplified by a feature from Lazer Dim 700. The music video is available now.
According to a press release, Denzel Curry envisioned The Scythe as a tribute to Southern hip-hop, channeling a futuristic spin on classic regional sounds from Memphis, Houston, and Miami. "The Scythe is a family and a group," Curry stated. "We still have our respective solo careers, but when we come together, it’s The Scythe."
The Scythe
Strictly 4 the Scythe features eight tracks, echoing the collaborative spirit of Curry's King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2. The album boasts an impressive lineup of guest appearances, including Juicy J, Smino, Rich the Kind, 454, Luh Tyler, Sadboi, and 1900Rugrat.
This release marks Denzel's first full-length project since the 2024 album version of King of the Mischievous South.
