Denzel Curry Unveils Supergroup 'Scythe' with New Single 'Lit Effect'

SoundCloud rap veteran Denzel Curry has unveiled his new crew. Today, Curry has a couple of big announcements. One of them is the formation of a collective that he calls the Scythe. Curry initially rose to prominence as part of Florida's Raider Klan, but this new venture represents something different.

All of the members of the group are already established artists. Alongside Curry, the collective includes Bktherula from Georgia, TiaCorine from North Carolina, Curry's fellow Raider Klan veteran Key Nyata, as well as A$AP Ferg. (Note: A$AP Ferg now goes by just FERG).

All members of the Scythe appeared on Denzel Curry's 2024 project, King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2. They will also feature on Curry's next project, Strictly 4 The Scythe, slated for release in March. The album boasts contributions from Juicy J, Smino, 454, Luh Tyler, Rich The Kid, 1900Rugrat, and Sadboi, as well as rising Georgia rapper Lazer Dim 700, who features on the new single "Lit Effect."

"Lit Effect" reunites Bktherula and Lazer Dim 700 alongside Curry, recalling their collaboration on the 2024 Waka Flocka Flame update, "Still In The Paint." The BNYX-produced beat delivers a churning, energetic vibe, reminiscent of Curry's earlier work with Raider Klan. All three rappers deliver strong performances, with Curry particularly standing out.

(Curry is also featured on the Maxo Kream/JPEGMAFIA collab "Fake Jeezy.")
