Ella Langley Unveils 'Dandelion': A Deep Dive into Heartbreak, Love, and Faith
Ella Langley's new album, 'Dandelion,' showcases her evolving artistry and Alabama roots, exploring themes of heartbreak, love, loss, and faith.

Ella Langley's "Choosin’ Texas" has dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for five nonconsecutive weeks. Her new album, Dandelion, underscores that the collection of songs is as rooted in her artistic vision as they are in her Alabama upbringing.
Across 16 tracks, Dandelion (bookended by Langley’s rendition of the folk poem “Froggy Goes A-Courtin'”) navigates heartbreak, love, loss, faith, and unwavering self-acceptance. Tracks like “Speaking Terms” and “Most Good Things Do” feature soft, acoustic-driven melodies, while “I Gotta Quit” demonstrates her prowess with a ’90s country-inspired sound.
Langley offers a steel guitar and piano-soaked version of the Kitty Wells classic “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.” She collaborates with Miranda Lambert on “Butterfly Season,” contemplating emotional evolution and maturity.
“Be Her” paints a portrait of Langley's aspirational woman: confident, honest, and content. While “Bottom of Your Boots” yearns for steady romance, “Last Call for Us” frankly addresses dissolving relationships.
Celebrating her new release, Langley recently earned seven ACM Awards nominations, including female artist of the year, single of the year (“Choosin’ Texas”), and song of the year (“Choosin’ Texas”).
