FIFA World Cup 2026: Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla to Headline Opening Ceremonies Across North America
The FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremonies will feature star-studded performances from Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla in the United States, alongside other major artists in Canada and Mexico.
FIFA is set to kick off the 2026 World Cup with a series of star-powered opening ceremonies across the host nations: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The opening ceremony in the United States will be held on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The lineup includes Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla. The U.S. team will face Paraguay in the tournament’s inaugural match.
Canada's opening celebrations will take place in Toronto on June 11 and June 12. Artists such as Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Nora Fatei, Sanjoy, Vegedream, and William Prince will perform at Toronto’s BMO Field before Canada's game against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mexico's opening ceremony will feature J Balvin, Tyla, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, and Danny Ocean. The event precedes the match between Mexico and South Africa on June 11 at Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, "This opening ceremony in Los Angeles represents the extraordinary scale of what the FIFA World Cup 2026 will become. The lineup of artists reflects the cultural diversity of the United States and the vibrancy of its many diasporas, highlighting the nation’s rich influence on music, entertainment and pop culture, while showcasing the power of music to bring people together across the country."
More artists are expected to be announced. Host cities in the U.S. include Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York/New Jersey. The ceremonies are scheduled to begin 90 minutes before kickoff.
