FISHER Swims to 'Toy Story 5': Australian DJ Lands Voice Role in Pixar Blockbuster
Grammy-nominated DJ FISHER joins the voice cast of Toy Story 5, voicing Garden Gnome, a fiercely protective toy. The film is set to premiere in Australia and New Zealand on June 18.

FISHER is taking his talents from the DJ booth to the big screen, landing a role in Toy Story 5.
The Australian DJ and producer will voice Garden Gnome in the Australian and New Zealand release of the Disney and Pixar film. The movie is slated to hit theaters on June 18.
Garden Gnome is described as a member of a community of forgotten toys residing in an abandoned backyard shed, fiercely protective of teatime and his kid.
"I am incredibly excited to be part of 'Toy Story 5'," FISHER said in a statement. "This is a franchise that my family and I have loved for years — I can’t wait to watch it with my kids."
The casting marks another milestone for the dance music star, who rose from Gold Coast clubs to global fame. Known for hits like “Losing It,” “You Little Beauty,” and “Take It Off,” FISHER earned a Grammy nomination for “Losing It,” which topped Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart.
In recent years, he has become a staple at major venues, headlining shows in Ibiza, Las Vegas, and at festivals like Coachella. His success mirrors a broader wave of Australian electronic artists making their mark worldwide.
Toy Story 5 sees the return of franchise veterans like Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack as Jessie. Joining the cast is Greta Lee, whose character Lilypad introduces a technology-focused conflict.
The film is directed by Andrew Stanton, known for Finding Nemo and WALL-E, with a score by composer Randy Newman.
For FISHER, this role marks a foray into animation, joining one of the most beloved franchises in film history.
