John Summit Threatens to Leave Wasserman Agency Over Casey Wasserman's Epstein Ties
Dance music star John Summit has publicly stated he will leave the Wasserman agency if Casey Wasserman doesn't step down due to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Dance music titan John Summit has joined the growing chorus of artists threatening to leave the Wasserman agency. This comes in response to founder and CEO Casey Wasserman‘s ties to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
“If casey wasserman doesn’t step down, i will not remain with the agency,” Summit wrote via X and Instagram on Thursday (Feb. 12). “His actions do not reflect the integrity of the agents i work with, and if change does not happen, we will take our talents elsewhere.”
Summit clarified in a response to a comment on his X post that he has “zero plans on leaving [his] agents,” emphasizing, “they aren’t involved in this so it’s been an ongoing process how to deal with this.”
Summit is among the most prominent artists to speak out on this controversy. The issue arose after the release of Epstein files revealed numerous emails between Casey Wasserman and Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking. Earlier in the week, artists such as Chappell Roan, Dropkick Murphys and Orville Peck announced their departure from the agency due to these revelations. Others, like Summit, have threatened to follow suit if Wasserman remains in his position.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Wasserman, who also chairs the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics organizing committee, expressed regret for his correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, stating it occurred “over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light.” He added, “I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane. I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.”
