Kacey Musgraves Adds Sparkle to Coachella 2026: Surprise Set Announcement
Kacey Musgraves is set to return to Coachella, adding a touch of country glam to the festival's second weekend with a surprise performance.

Country music star Kacey Musgraves is officially joining the lineup for the second weekend of Coachella 2026, marking her return to the desert festival since her memorable 2019 performance. She is scheduled to perform on Saturday at the Mojave Tent from 3 to 3:50 p.m.
Musgraves playfully teased her surprise appearance earlier in the day with an Instagram video, set to her Middle of Nowhere title track. The caption read: βSomewhere on the way to β πͺππππππππ β .β
Her highly anticipated seventh studio album, set to release on May 1 via Lost Highway Records, features collaborations with country and folk luminaries such as Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings, and Gregory Alan Isakov. The first single, βDry Spell,β was released last month. Musgraves described the album as a reflection on solitude and transitional spaces, stating, βThe bulk of this record was made during the longest single period of my life... I became fascinated with the concept of liminal space, both geographical and emotional. We donβt linger in these transitional, empty spaces long enough and rush to define where or whatever is next.β
Musgraves also made headlines recently for her witty response to President Donald Trump's AI-generated image. She recreated the image, replacing Trump with Dolly Parton as Jesus and herself as the patient, in a post on X.
