La Onda Festival 2026 in Napa Valley Canceled Abruptly
The 2026 edition of the La Onda Festival in Napa Valley, featuring headliners like Maná and J Balvin, has been canceled with no explanation from organizers, leaving fans and the music community in shock.
Organizers have pulled the plug on the two-day Napa Valley Latin music festival, La Onda, which was scheduled for May 30-31. The announcement was made on Monday, Feb. 23, without providing any explanation for the cancellation.
The 2026 edition of the star-studded La Onda Festival in Napa, California, was canceled on Monday (Feb. 23) with no explanation from organizers. Just weeks after announcing a lineup including Maná, J Balvin and Christian Nodal, the two-day event slated to take place at the Napa Valley expo was called off.
"Unfortunately, the 2026 Festival La Onda will not be taking place. All ticket buyers who purchased through Front Gate Tickets will receive a full refund in as little as 30 days. We remain hopeful that a future Festival La Onda will be possible. Until then, we are proud of what we created together and deeply grateful to the fans who supported La Onda," read a statement from organizers.
While no reason was given for the turnabout at press time, the festival’s producers said that they “remain hopeful” that Festival La Onda will return “in the future,” adding that they are “incredibly proud of what was built and grateful for the community that supported it.”
The event from the team behind the BottleRock Festival gathered an impressive roster of headliners and support acts in the two years they’ve put on the fest, including Banda MS, Pepe Aguilar, Marco Antonio Solís, Carín León, Grupo Firme and Ángela Aguilar in 2025 and Alejandro Fernández, Junior H, Farruko, Maná, Fuerza Regida and Café Tacvba in its inaugural 2024 edition.
Other acts that were slated to appear at this year’s La Onda included: Danny Ocean, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Paulo Londra, La Arrolladora, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Grupo Niche, Molotov, Hermanos Espinoza, Orishas, Chiquis and more.
Last year, regional Mexican band Grupo Firme had to cancel their planned performance at La Onda due to troubles with the members’ visas being stuck in “administrative process” at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico.
