Labrinth's Fiery Declaration: 'F--k Columbia. Double F--k Euphoria.' What's Next?
In a surprising outburst, Labrinth publicly denounced his record label, Columbia, and the hit HBO series Euphoria, leaving fans and industry insiders speculating about the reasons behind his frustration and his next steps.

The music world was set ablaze Friday when Labrinth posted a cryptic message on Instagram, seemingly out of nowhere. The post, a stark white text against a black backdrop, read: "I’M DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY. F–K COLUMBIA. DOUBLE F–K EUPHORIA. I’M OUT. THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X."
Billboard has reached out to Columbia, HBO, and Labrinth's representatives for comment but has yet to receive a response.
The timing of the post is particularly curious. Labrinth just released his new album, Cosmic Opera Act I, in January via Columbia Records, a label he's been signed to since 2019. Furthermore, he recently teased new music on Instagram, hinting at a possible release date of April 10, 2026, potentially linked to his score for the upcoming third season of Euphoria.
Since its inception in 2019, Labrinth has been a crucial part of Euphoria, collaborating closely with creator Sam Levinson. He's composed, produced, and occasionally lent his vocals to the show's soundtracks, with "I’m Tired" featuring Zendaya, reaching No. 53 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Labrinth spoke with Billboard in 2022, expressing his initial reservations about composing for television. "I don’t think I was excited about composing for a TV show, honestly speaking," he said. "I did want to compose music, but the thing that excited me the most was Sam’s passion for the show, and what he wanted to do … It felt like method acting with music."
Before his Euphoria success, Labrinth debuted in 2010 with "Let the Sun Shine," followed by his first album, Electronic Earth, in 2012, released under Simon Cowell’s Syco label, before his move to Columbia.
