The pop landscape has a new queen, as Lady Gaga has officially taken home the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for her critically acclaimed album, Mayhem. The win was announced shortly after her electrifying performance of "Abracadabra," proving that Gaga's star power is as potent as ever.

She snagged the trophy over formidable contenders including Justin Bieber (Swag), Miley Cyrus (Something Beautiful), Teddy Swims (I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy [Part 2]), and last year’s winner, Sabrina Carpenter (Man’s Best Friend).

"I’m honored to be up here," Gaga expressed during her heartfelt acceptance speech. "I’ve been making music since I was a little girl, and every time I’m here I still feel like I have to pinch myself. I respect everybody in this room so much."

She continued, acknowledging her partner and collaborators: "I have to say thank you first to my partner, Michael. I love you so much. You are by my side every single day in a way that I can’t thank you enough for. You worked so hard with me on this record all year. So, I love you and thank you. To Andrew Watt and to Cirkut—come closer! I never could have made this album without these guys. And Gesaffelstein, we are so, so grateful."

Gaga also used her platform to empower women in music: "I just want to say for women in music that I know sometimes when you’re in the studio with a bunch of guys it can be hard. So I urge you to always listen to yourself, always fight for your ideas, fight for your songs, fight for yourself as a producer, make sure that you are heard loudly."

She concluded with gratitude: "And thank you so much for supporting me, all of you, in my craft. I believe in discipline and hard work and craftsmanship, and that’s really what Mayhem is to me. Thank you."

This victory marks Lady Gaga’s second Best Pop Vocal Album win, her first being for The Fame Monster back in 2011. The multi-talented artist also received six additional nominations this year: Album of the Year for Mayhem; Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Dance Pop Recording for “Abracadabra” (which she won); Best Pop Solo Performance for “Disease”; and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Harlequin.
