Lambrini Girls Forced to Cancel Coachella Performance After Singer's Injury
Brighton punk duo Lambrini Girls have had to pull out of Coachella and reschedule their North American tour after singer Phoebe Lunny sustained a neck fracture and brain injury.

The Brighton punk duo Lambrini Girls appeared to have dropped off the Coachella line-up earlier today (April 8) and now in an Instagram post, they have revealed the reason for their absence.
"We have to pull out of Coachella and reschedule our whole American headline tour," the post read. "Long story short: I fractured my neck and have an acute brain injury."
Lunny went on to reveal that the accident happened in Australia and was initially “misdiagnosed”, but she is now under “doctors orders” that forbid her to fly or perform for the next six weeks.
They confirmed that all of their UK and European shows are still going ahead as scheduled from late May, and you can find the new North American dates below, and find any remaining tickets here.
"To all American ticket holders: it’s dark times, especially in the states," the post continued. "There are so many good folks who are carving out community and lifting each other up in the face of fascism. Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about."
"Seeing people of all ages, genders and backgrounds come together to mosh, lift each other up, chant, cry, scream in both parts joyful and angry, is my greatest joy."
"We have received quite a lot of messages re Coachella, we are so gutted guys. We want to be there so badly. If it was a broken leg, I would do a Dave Grohl and play it. This isn’t something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there’s some universe we get to play next year instead."
Lunny concluded: “Because it is my neck and brain, our hands are tied for now, but I’m lucky and expect a speedy recovery thank fuck lol.”
Lambrini Girls will now play:

17 – Boston, Paradise Rock Club
19 – Montreal, Beanfield Theatre

The duo recently shared a tongue-in-cheek new single called ‘Cult Of Celebrity’, which sees them take aim at the corruption among the elite.
That followed on from them sharing their debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out‘ last year. NME praised that record in a five-star review, writing: “With ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’, Lambrini Girls prove punk is alive and kicking. They’re unapologetically amplifying chaos, calling out societal wrongs, and daring us all to feel something. This record is loud, raw, and impossible to ignore.”
