Latto is Back with "Business & Personal" and Announces New Album 'Big Mama'

Latto is back! After a period of relative quiet, the dynamic MC has re-emerged onto the scene.

On Friday, March 20th, the Grammy-nominated Latto dropped her new single "Business & Personal," offering the first glimpse into Big Mama, her upcoming fourth studio album. The album is slated for release on May 29th via Streamcut and RCA Records. The assertive single showcases Latto addressing rumors and settling scores with characteristic boldness.

Latto revealed the single's release through a cinematic trailer on her social media. The trailer features the rapper narrating, "I ain’t go missing. I had to give y’all time to miss me. Before you run the game, you gotta take baby steps to go the distance," as she approaches a baby cheetah and feeds it milk. The trailer cleverly plays on both Latto’s "Big Mama" persona and recent pregnancy rumors.

Her previous release, "Somebody," peaked at No. 94 on the Billboard Hot 100 and will also be featured on Big Mama. Following "Somebody," Latto engaged in several collaborations, including tracks with Nemzzz (“Art”), Ice Spice (“Gyatt”), Cardi B (“ErrTime” remix), Summer Walker (“Go Girl”), 21 Savage (“Pop It”), and Ludmilla (“Bota”).

Her last studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, released in 2024, reached No. 15 on the Billboard 200. The album included the Hot 100 hits “Big Energy” (No. 92), “Sunday Service” (No. 100) and “Put It On Da Floor” (No. 13) and debuted atop Top Rap Albums, making Latto the first solo female rapper from Atlanta to top that chart. She supported the album with a North American headlining tour alongside special guests Mariah the Scientist and Karrahbooo.
