Lindsey Buckingham has detailed his plans for 2026, and they might just include a reunion of sorts with Stevie Nicks. Exciting news for fans of the iconic duo!

In a recent video posted to his Instagram, the singer-guitarist shared updates on his creative endeavors. "I am still very, very grounded in my creative life," he stated, mentioning he's been diligently working on a new solo album for the past couple of years, which is now just "one song away from being finished."

Buckingham also revealed that the upcoming Fleetwood Mac documentary may finally arrive this year. The project, helmed by Frank Marshall for Apple, features interviews with the band's core surviving members: Buckingham, Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie. "Those are two very specific things that are waiting in the wings for this year," he said.

Most notably, Buckingham addressed his evolving relationship with Nicks. Following last year's reissue of their pre-Mac album, Buckingham Nicks, the pair seem to have reconciled. "I think on a more general level, just the energy in terms of what Buckingham Nicks did to sort of create a resurgence of connection between Stevie and myself, I think on a larger scale, that seems to be something that’s in the air," he explained. "And what that translates to specifically, I wouldn’t want to speculate yet. But I believe with all my heart, it will translate to something good, and something wonderful, and something needed and something extremely appropriate."

While Buckingham and Nicks appeared to be back on speaking terms last fall during their Song Exploder episode focusing on "Frozen Love," this marks the first time Buckingham has hinted at a potential 2026 reunion. What this "larger scale" entails remains to be seen – whether it's a Buckingham Nicks project or even a full-fledged Fleetwood Mac reunion tour. Nicks had previously expressed reservations about touring after the death of Christine McVie, but her reconciliation with Buckingham might have changed the landscape. Furthermore, next year marks the 50th anniversary of Rumours, adding another layer of significance. Only time will tell what the future holds.
