Lone Announces 'Hyperphantasia' Album, Drops Rave-Fueled Single "Life Spark"

UK producer Matt Culter has been crafting playfully psychedelic rave music under the moniker Lone for nearly two decades. His last album, Always Inside Your Head, dropped in 2021. Since then, he's kept the energy high with a string of singles including "Triton," "Ascension.png," and "Sickly, Sweetly Summer Movie."

All of these tracks will find a home on Hyperphantasia, Lone's newly announced album.

On Hyperphantasia, Lone delves deep into old-school rave sounds, inviting collaborators like his Greco-Roman labelmates Ell Murphy and Lou Hayter, alongside Spanish singer Bikôkô, UK rapper Juga-Naut, and London-via-Hong Kong musician Merry Lamb Lamb.

Lone's new single "Life Spark" perfectly captures the hyper-sweet melodies and driving rhythms of early-'90s hardcore rave. It's an absolute blast from the past with a modern twist. Check it out below, along with the full Hyperphantasia tracklist.
