The anticipation for Madonna's Confessions II album is building, and now there's a new layer to the excitement. The Queen of Pop has announced a Peggy Gou remix of her lead single, "I Feel So Free," set to drop this Friday, May 15.

Gou teased the remix, officially titled “I Feel So Free Energy Remix,” on her Instagram Stories. The 13-second clip reveals a thicker, bouncier bassline and a vocal sample that declares, “It all started like this.”

This marks the first collaboration between Madonna and the South Korean electronic music sensation. However, Madonna is no stranger to the remix world, having previously worked with electronic luminaries such as Above & Beyond, Tracy Young, Shep Pettibone, and David Morales.

A follow-up to her 2005 classic Confessions On a Dance Floor, Confessions II is slated for release on July 3 via Warner Records. So far, Madonna has released "I Feel So Free" and the Sabrina Carpenter collaboration “Bring Your Love” from the new album.

Madonna has reunited with Stuart Price, the producer behind Confessions On a Dance Floor, for this new project. Together, they released a manifesto alongside the album's release date announcement.

"We must dance, celebrate and pray with our bodies," the manifesto stated. "These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years — they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect — with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people. Sound, light and vibration Reshape our perceptions Pulling us into a trancelike state. The repetition of the bass, we don’t just hear it but we feel it. Altering our consciousness and dissolving ego and time."
