Megan Thee Stallion Takes Broadway: Rapper Joins 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical'
Megan Thee Stallion is set to electrify Broadway, joining the cast of 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical' as Zidler. This exciting venture promises a surge of interest as the show approaches its final curtain call.

Megan Thee Stallion has announced her upcoming role in Broadway's Moulin Rouge! The Musical. She will step into the shoes of Zidler, the owner and MC of the iconic Moulin Rouge, from March 24 to May 17, just in time for Hot Girl Summer.
"I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively," Megan Thee Stallion stated, according to The New York Times, "and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace."
The character of Harold Zidler, immortalized by Jim Broadbent in the 2001 film, is a pivotal role. On Broadway, Zidler has been portrayed as a gay man, with notable actors like Danny Burstein (who won a Tony for the role), Tituss Burgess, Boy George, and Wayne Brady taking on the part since the show's opening in July 2018.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical is scheduled to conclude its Broadway run on July 26. The casting of Megan Thee Stallion is expected to inject a vibrant burst of energy and drive ticket sales as the production nears its end.
Carmen Pavlovic, a lead producer, expressed enthusiasm: "We want our show to go out with a spectacular bang, and Megan is the force of nature to lead us there."
Fans can anticipate Megan Thee Stallion's performances at all shows during her engagement, except for May 2. Given the musical's incorporation of popular songs, there's speculation that hits like "Savage," "Hot Girl Summer," or even "WAP" might make their way into her performances.
