Miley Cyrus Celebrates Hannah Montana Roots with New Single and TV Special
Miley Cyrus revisits her Hannah Montana origins with a TV special, a new single titled "Younger You," and an Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, reflecting on how the persona helped shape her career.

Before she captivated the world as Miley Cyrus, she was Hannah Montana—a fictional pop star who blossomed into a very real phenomenon. This week, Cyrus is embracing her roots, celebrating the iconic wig that started it all. She curated a TV special featuring her parents, an interview with Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper, and a special appearance from Chappell Roan.
She also dropped a new single, "Younger You."
"Younger You" is an evocative acoustic ballad centered on maintaining a connection with one's past self. It's easy to lose sight of our origins, and Cyrus champions staying connected to that inner child: "Somewhere along the way we lost touch/ We used to be so happy just because I know you had to go eventually/ But don't forget about me."
Last night, Cyrus accepted the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. "My double denim and gold scarf thank you because they've been waiting over a decade to leave the house," she quipped in her acceptance speech. "Hannah Montana inspired me so much in my own career. I fell in love with the idea that you can create a persona that gives you the confidence and the courage to perform authentically. And that sometimes the fake you can actually reveal the real you."
