Phoebe Bridgers Album 3: Studio Photos Spark Excitement with Matty Healy, Jack Antonoff, and More
New studio photos featuring Phoebe Bridgers with Matty Healy, Jack Antonoff, and others have surfaced, hinting at her highly anticipated third album.

A new Phoebe Bridgers era is upon us. Nearly six years after her acclaimed sophomore album Punisher, she has begun performing shows in Roswell, NM and Lubbock, TX, signaling a return. Now, more clues about the forthcoming follow-up have emerged via photos from a deactivated link from Bridgers' publisher, Blue Raincoat Music. The URL, "pblp3studioharrisonwhitford," hinted at the contents within.
The photos capture Bridgers in the studio with a host of musician friends, including Matty Healy, Alex G, Jack Antonoff, and her partner, Bo Burnham.
If guitarist Harrison Whitford was the photographer, documenting the making of PB3, it would make sense. He recorded on Punisher and has been a part of Bridgers' touring band. He has also photographed her and boygenius over the years. Fans have speculated that the photos were taken late last year, given Bridgers' darker hair and Healy's mohawk.
The prospect of these artists collaborating on Bridgers' new music is generating considerable excitement, especially given their history of working together. In 2018, Bridgers covered Alex G's "Powerful Man." A couple of years later, Bridgers worked with Healy for The 1975's Notes On A Conditional Form. Then, Bridgers (along with boygenius' Lucy Dacus) performed with Healy, Antonoff, Christian Lee Hutson, and others at the Ally Coalition Talent Show. Hutson (who has joined her on guitar at this weekend's pop-up shows) was also seen in these newly released photos, as well as Antonoff-affiliated recording engineer Laura Sisk, and Punisher producer Tony Berg. Let the speculation begin.
