The wait is over for fans of Phoebe Bridgers, as the acclaimed singer-songwriter has officially announced 'The Lost Tour,' her first major solo arena tour in three years. This expansive run across North America, the UK, and Europe also comes with a notable stipulation: a strict 'no phones' policy, promising an unadulterated live experience.
This highly anticipated return follows a significant hiatus from solo work for Bridgers, whose last album, the critically lauded 'Punisher,' dropped in 2020. Her last full solo tour concluded in 2023. Beyond her solo endeavors, Bridgers has also been quiet with her supergroup Boygenius, alongside Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, since their acclaimed 2023 album, 'The Record,' and subsequent announcement of a hiatus.
While solo activity has been sparse, Bridgers recently offered a glimpse of what's to come with a handful of intimate acoustic shows, including a surprise, last-minute set at New York City’s Madison Square Garden just last night (Thursday, June 4).
Now, 'The Lost Tour' is set to kick off in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 15. The North American leg will see her visit major cities like Chicago, Brooklyn (for two nights at the Barclays Center), Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Toronto, Detroit, Boston, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Seattle, and San Francisco, before concluding with a two-night stand in Inglewood, California, at the Intuit Dome at the end of October.
November will see Bridgers cross the Atlantic for a series of UK and Ireland dates, including Dublin's 3Arena, Manchester's Co-op Live, Glasgow's OVO Hydro, and London's iconic The O2.
The European leg rounds out the tour in December, with stops in Paris (at the Adidas Arena), Brussels (Forest National), Amsterdam (Ziggo Dome), Berlin (Velodrom), and concluding at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm on December 12.
Supporting Phoebe Bridgers on her North American dates will be Alex G, while Isaac Wood will join her for the UK and European shows.
A defining feature of 'The Lost Tour' will be its strict 'no phones' policy. Attendees will have their phones, smartwatches, and other related accessories secured in Yondr pouches upon entry, to be unlocked and returned only after the show. This initiative aims to foster a more present and immersive concert experience, free from the distractions of glowing screens.
Tickets for 'The Lost Tour' go on general sale Friday, June 12, at 10 AM local time, with pre-sale options available from Wednesday, June 10. Additionally, Bridgers has partnered with PLUS1 for the European leg of the tour, ensuring that €1/£1 from every ticket sold will support local organizations dedicated to aiding survivors of sexual assault and violence.
The tour announcement fuels further speculation about new solo material. Bridgers’ recent New Mexico acoustic set saw her debut three new songs, strongly hinting at an upcoming album. While no official confirmation has been made, 'The Lost Tour' offers a prime opportunity for fans to potentially hear more unreleased tracks.
Phoebe Bridgers' 'Punisher' was named the fifth-best album of 2020 by NME, while Boygenius' 'The Record' secured NME's top album spot for 2023, setting a high bar for her highly anticipated return.
