Phoebe Bridgers Debuts New Music and Teases Upcoming Album at Intimate Roswell Show
Phoebe Bridgers returned to the stage with an exclusive show in Roswell, New Mexico, offering fans a sneak peek at her upcoming album and a taste of new material.

On Friday, May 8th, Phoebe Bridgers graced the stage for her first solo live performance in three years at The Liberty, a cozy 400-capacity theater in Roswell, New Mexico. The invite-only event, which prohibited phone usage, offered a rare and intimate experience for attendees.
Bridgers reportedly treated the audience to beloved tracks like “Motion Sickness,” “Kyoto,” and “Garden Song.” More excitingly, she unveiled several new songs and a video short, hinting at her highly anticipated third album, the details of which are still under wraps.
According to reports, Bridgers told the crowd that the performance would be a "test" for future performances, and she was joined onstage by frequent collaborator Christian Lee Hutson, who provided guitar, harmonica, harmonies, and percussion.
One of the new songs Bridgers debuted is said to address the passing of her father in 2023. Fans on Reddit have been actively discussing the emotional weight of the new material.
Adding to the excitement, flyers for another Bridgers show reportedly surfaced in Lubbock, Texas, on May 9th. The same day, a series of photos emerged, depicting Bridgers in the studio alongside Matty Healy, Alex G, Jack Antonoff, and her partner, Bo Burnham, fueling speculation about the collaborators on her upcoming record.
Each attendee received a piece of a painting inside the locked pouches used for phones, leading to fan theories that the combined fragments might reveal the album cover. New merchandise at the show also displayed lyrics believed to be from a new song: “Now I can't see any stars in the sky. When a dreams comes true, a fantasy dies…but we’re gonna be alright, me and you.”
Bridgers released Punisher in 2020, and “Sidelines” in 2022 for the Conversations With Friends soundtrack. Since then, she’s collaborated with Rob Moose, The National, Arlo Parks, SZA, and Andrew Bird. She has also remained active as a member of boygenius, with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus; in 2024, the trio won three Grammys for The Record. Her debut solo album, Stranger in the Alps, arrived in 2017.
