After the Department of Homeland Security used a choral rendition of their song “Let Down” in an Instagram Reel, Radiohead released a statement:

We demand that the amateurs in control of the ICE social media account take it down. It ain’t funny, this song means a lot to us and other people, and you don’t get to appropriate it without a fight.

Also, go fuck yourselves…

"Let Down,” a track from 1997’s OK Computer, recently charted on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Radiohead’s fourth song to do so. In October, Thom Yorke stated that the band would not perform in Israel while Benjamin Netanyahu is prime minister.

Following the killings of Alex Pretti and Renée Good by ICE agents in January, Bruce Springsteen shared the protest anthem “Streets of Minneapolis.” Last fall, Zach Bryan posted a snippet of “Bad News,” featuring anti-ICE lyrics—though Bryan quickly hedged his criticisms, writing that the full song would hit “on both sides of the aisle.”
