Raye Announces New Album 'This Music May Contain Hope' and Launches Global Tour

The young UK retro-soul singer, Raye, catapulted to international pop stardom with her 2023 debut album My 21st Century Blues, and she has maintained impressive momentum ever since. Her recent single "Where Is My Husband!" has become her biggest US hit to date, and she's slated to open for Bruno Mars on several dates of his upcoming stadium tour.

Now, the highly anticipated announcement of her sophomore LP has arrived.

Raye recently revealed that her second album will be titled This Music May Contain Hope, sharing the cover art depicting her flying a record like a kite. While concrete details about the LP are still emerging, Raye shared a statement: "Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed, or soft place for that person who needs it."

On Thursday night, Raye performed at Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland, marking the opening night of her global tour, aptly named 'This Tour May Contain New Music.' The tour's name is fitting, as the setlist included new material. According to Setlist.fm, Raye debuted eight unreleased songs in Lodz.
