Rihanna's Mansion Targeted: Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder
A woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing shots at Rihanna's Los Angeles mansion. The suspect, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, is being held on a $1.875 million bail.

UPDATE: A press release from the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday (March 10) stated that Ivanna Lisette Ortiz is being held on $1.875 million bail, reduced from the original $10.2 million. She's been formally charged with one count of attempted murder, 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper. If convicted, she faces up to life in state prison. Ortiz will be arraigned on March 25.
Officials have identified the woman arrested for shooting at Rihanna's Los Angeles mansion as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, of Florida. She was booked on felony charges of attempted murder and is being held on $1.875 million bail, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Police report that Ortiz allegedly fired around 10 shots from an AR-15-style assault rifle at Rihanna's Beverly Hills mansion on Sunday (March 8) from inside her white Tesla, parked across the street.
Rihanna was reportedly home at the time, along with her three children. No injuries were reported, though one round penetrated a wall, leaving bullet holes in the gate and an RV parked in the driveway. It was unclear if A$AP Rocky, the father of the children, was home at the time, reported TMZ.
No motive has been given for the assault. The Times noted that Ortiz had prior arrests in Florida, including a 2013 bankruptcy case, a 2021 arrest for careless driving, and a 2023 arrest for domestic violence and battery. Records indicate she was a licensed speech pathologist with no known connection to Rihanna or A$AP Rocky.
Despite appearing to have no prior contact, Ortiz had recently posted about Rihanna on her Facebook page, including a Feb. 17 meme suggesting the singer had an STI and a Feb. 23 post tagging Rihanna, writing, “@badgirlriri Are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me where I’m not at.”
Officers responded to a shooting report at 1:21 p.m. on Sunday. Ortiz fled in her Tesla, but a police helicopter spotted the car and followed it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where she was arrested around 30 minutes after the 911 call. Police searched the vehicle and found the assault rifle and seven casings.
As of press time, neither Rihanna nor Rocky had commented on the incident.
