Role Model is making a grand return. The musician has officially announced his third LP, Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, the highly anticipated follow-up to his breakthrough album, Kansas Anymore. The album is scheduled to drop on August 7 via Interscope. Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pilsbury, also revealed that the lead single, “High Hopes 3000,” will be released on June 3.
The singer-songwriter stirred excitement among fans when he began teasing the new project in April with an enigmatic Instagram account for his new alter ego, “Chuck Timely.” Last week, Pilsbury sent old-fashioned acquaintance cards via snail mail to select fans, directing them to a pre-recorded voicemail message from “Chuck.” This clever move not only teased Chuck Timely & the Hourglass but also hinted at the upcoming single, “High Hopes 3000.”

It has been just over a year since Pilsbury released new music. In February 2025, he shared the deluxe version of Kansas Anymore as his popularity soared, largely due to the viral hit “Sally, When The Wine Runs Out.” His previous album also featured the soulful fan-favorite “Some Protector.”
The announcement of his third album coincides with Pilsbury's scheduled live performances at several summer festivals, including Primavera, Bonnaroo, Leeds, and Reading, among others. Despite his international tour dates, it appears Role Model found inspiration for the new record back in the United States. According to his “Chuck Timely” Instagram, the musician spent time in Maine this past April. He had been considering this location for a while. In his October 2025 Rolling Stone Musicians on Musicians cover story with María Zardoya, Pilsbury mentioned, “I’d love to write in Maine. I haven’t done that yet, so that’s a goal.”
