Sturgill Simpson's Johnny Blue Skies Announces 'Mutiny for the Masses' Tour
Sturgill Simpson, under his alias Johnny Blue Skies, is embarking on a North American tour this fall in support of Mutiny After Midnight. The tour promises a series of electrifying performances with his band, the Dark Clouds.
Sturgill Simpson is hitting the road as Johnny Blue Skies, backed by his band the Dark Clouds, for the 'Mutiny for the Masses' tour across North America. The tour kicks off in Austin, Texas, in early September and concludes in Lexington, Kentucky, on Halloween, supporting his album Mutiny After Midnight.

Mutiny After Midnight has already made waves, landing at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 based exclusively on physical sales. In further exciting news, Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds are set to release two covers on 7" vinyl for Record Store Day: Procol Harum’s “A Whiter Shade of Pale” and William Bell’s “You Don't Miss Your Water.”
Adding another layer to his diverse portfolio, the original Sturgill Simpson is slated to appear in The Lonely Woman, a film by Boy Harsher, currently in post-production, alongside FKA twigs and Bonnie “Prince” Billy.
