Swedish House Mafia Reunites with Eric Prydz for Epic 17-Minute Set at Ultra Music Festival 2026

Miami Music Week was already buzzing, but the Friday announcement that Swedish House Mafia's Saturday night set at Ultra Music Festival would feature a reunion with Eric Prydz sent shockwaves through the dance music community.

The backstory is legendary: Prydz, an original member, chose a solo path in 2008, creating his own empire under his name and aliases like Pryda and Cyrez D. Both Prydz and Swedish House Mafia became titans, defining progressive house and the EDM era.

The Saturday night set marked the first performance by the original Swedish House lineup in two decades. Billed as a “festival within a festival,” Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso (the initially announced SHM members) welcomed a stream of friends to the stage.

The guest list was a who's who: U.K. garage producer MPH, Boys Noize with his Skrillex collab “Fine Day Afternoon,” Kelly Lee Owens with her Radiohead edit, Afrojack dropping anthems like “Pon de Floor,” and Armand Van Helden spinning classics like “Bonkers” and “My My My.”

The crowd erupted when Axwell and Prydz, casually dressed in a T-shirt and baseball cap (Prydz had already played a solo set Friday), joined the stage. The four delivered a blistering 17-minute set featuring newer Swedish House Mafia tracks, Prydz staples, and other EDM essentials.

Here's a breakdown of the setlist:

  • “Turn On the Lights again..” x “Pjanoo”: The set kicked off with a mashup of Swedish House Mafia’s “Turn On the Lights again..” (with Fred again.. and Future) and Prydz’s iconic “Pjanoo.”
  • “Pjanoo” x “Leave the World Behind”: “Pjanoo” morphed into another mashup, this time with vocals and melodies from “Leave the World Behind” by Axwell, Ingrosso, Angello, Laidback Luke, and Deborah Cox. The piano stabs of “Pjanoo” synced perfectly with the stage's lasers.
  • “It Gets Better”: A sped-up version of this track from Paradise Again transitioned into celestial house.
  • “Every Day”: Prydz's 2012 single had everyone raising their hands, with Axwell singing along. The crowd was a mix of dancing, tears, and pure joy.
  • “Allein”: Axwell declared, “Ultra Miami, this guy, Eric Prydz, used to be and forever will be a part of the original Swedish House Mafia!” as Prydz, Angello, and Ingrosso jumped around onstage. Fireworks exploded as the beat dropped.
  • “On Off” x “Lazer Beams”: A mashup of Cyrez D’s “On Off” and Green Velvet and Harvard Bass’s “Lazer Beams” ignited the crowd.
  • “Midnight City” x “Sweet Disposition”: Angello announced, “It’s all love here tonight,” before dropping M83’s “Midnight City,” followed by The Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition,” triggering major EDM nostalgia with fireworks.

Angello then shouted, “Ladies and gentlemen make some f–king noise for Eric Prydz!” As Axwell and Prydz embraced, Axwell declared “OG Swedish House Mafia!” Prydz exited, and Swedish House Mafia closed the night, mixing “Don’t You Worry Child” with Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”—a song Avicii debuted on that very stage 13 years prior.
