Syd Announces New Album 'Beard' and UK/Europe Tour
Syd is gearing up to release her third studio album, Beard, on July 17th via Free Lunch Records. The album features an impressive roster of collaborators and a supporting UK/Europe tour.
Syd is making a grand return with her third album, Beard, slated for release on July 17 via Warner's Free Lunch Records. This highly anticipated project boasts collaborations with a stellar lineup including Raphael Saadiq, Big Sean, Rodney Jerkins, James Fauntleroy, Van Hunt, and Jordan Ward. Adding to the excitement, Florida duo Blu June joins Syd on the lead single, “Callin.” Check it out below:
Beard follows Syd's 2022 album, Broken Hearts Club. In a press statement, she shared the inspiration behind the album's title: “I fell in love with my peach fuzz and it made me rethink everything that was supposed to make me feel insecure. The title also represents the way I see myself in relation to my peers, especially in music. ‘The bearded lady.’ Not so much a spectacle in my case, but an anomaly and an outlier. Hard to compare.”
To celebrate the album launch, Syd has announced a concise tour across the UK and Europe, beginning with a performance at London's All Points East festival. See the complete tour schedule below.
