SZA Achieves Diamond Status: 'Kill Bill' and 'Snooze' Hit 10 Million Units Sold
SZA celebrates major milestones as 'Kill Bill' and 'Snooze' earn diamond certifications, marking a significant achievement in her career.
For many, Friday the 13th might be synonymous with bad luck. However, for SZA, it became a day to celebrate monumental success with diamond certifications for both “Kill Bill” and “Snooze”.
These tracks, both smash singles from her acclaimed second studio album SOS, reached impressive heights, peaking at Nos. 1 and 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively, and maintaining chart presence for over a year each.
SZA acknowledged the achievement on her Instagram Story, sharing a fan post about the “Kill Bill” diamond certification with an enthusiastic “F***ING CRAZY” caption.
But the celebrations didn't stop there. In addition to the diamond certifications for “Kill Bill” and “Snooze,” SZA received 27 more RIAA certifications on the same day. Twenty-two songs from SOS, its SOS Deluxe: Lana reissue, and her debut album Ctrl achieved platinum status, while five tracks reached gold status, bringing her total RIAA certification count to over 60.
Since her debut, SZA has consistently dominated the Billboard charts. The artist behind “Good Days” boasts three Hot 100 chart-toppers, 12 top 10 hits, and 60 songs that have graced the chart. Ctrl, released in 2017, has remained a Billboard 200 mainstay for 457 weeks and counting, while SOS follows closely with 170 weeks on the chart.
