The Breakfast Club Expands to Netflix: Live Daily Show Coming Soon

Get ready for more of The Breakfast Club! The iHeartRadio show is expanding its deal with Netflix, bringing the beloved morning drive-time chatter to the streaming platform as its first daily live program airing each weekday.

"Do y’all understand what ‘Live Globally’ really means? Mornings in New York. Daytime in the U.K. and Ghana. Evenings across other parts of the world,” said the show’s co-host, Charlamagne tha God, in a statement. “The media landscape will always evolve, but one thing consistently cuts through: live programming. That’s a big reason The Breakfast Club has sustained its reign for so long. We’re building something powerful — real-time conversation, real community, on a global scale. The future belongs to those who can see what’s possible — and trust me, the vision for The Breakfast Club and Netflix is crystal clear.”

Beginning on June 1, The Breakfast Club will air simultaneously as a live video show on Netflix each weekday, giving subscribers nearly three hours of real-time access to the show’s interviews, cultural commentary, and unfiltered viewpoints beginning at 6 a.m. ET. According to a release, the radio show co-hosted by Charlamagne, DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious, and Loren LoRosa that first hit the air in 2010 will still have its traditional commercial breaks, during which Netflix viewers will get an “enhanced, uninterrupted experience” filled with exclusive bonus segments, behind-the-scenes footage, extended conversations, and original content.

The Breakfast Club has always been at the center of culture, breaking artists, shaping conversations, and reflecting real life in real time,” said iHeartMedia CEO Bob Pittman in a statement regarding the deal. He added that this will expand his company’s exclusive video podcast collaborations with the streamer, which already includes My Favorite Murder, Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast, Dear Chelsea with comedian Chelsea Handler, and Joe and Jada, with Fat Joe and Jadakiss. “Taking this show live every day to a global audience on Netflix is a powerful example of how we’re expanding the reach of our biggest brands while giving audiences entirely new ways to experience them. Whether it’s morning in NYC or the afternoon in London, the conversation is live and reaching the world in real-time.”

The video podcast version of The Breakfast Club moved over to Netflix in January, after full episodes of the long-running show that airs from Power 105.1/WWPR FM in New York stopped running for free on YouTube. With the new deal, episodes of the show are available on Netflix after their air on the radio, but starting in June, they’ll be available live in real-time.
