The Durutti Column Announces 'Renascent' Album, Shares New Single "Liars"
Cult Manchester band The Durutti Column announces their new album 'Renascent,' along with the release of a new single, "Liars." The album features contributions from notable guests and cover art by Factory Records illustrators.

The Durutti Column, the iconic Manchester band known for their ethereal soundscapes, are back. Following the reissue of their debut album, Return of the Durutti Column, Vini Reilly's trio is set to release a new album titled Renascent on July 31 via London Records.
Fans can now listen to the single "Liars," a taste of what's to come. The album art is designed by Mark Holt and Hamish Muir of 8vo, who were original illustrators for the band's former label, Factory.
Backed by longtime percussionist Bruce Mitchell and player-producer Keir Stewart, Reilly returned to the studio amidst growing recognition for his work. Artists like Frank Ocean, Yung Lean, and Harry Styles have all expressed their admiration for The Durutti Column. Reilly humorously admitted, "I don’t know who Harry Styles is, but I shall Google him."
The new LP also features Caoilfhionn Rose, who is also scheduled to perform at the Styles-curated Meltdown Festival in London next month.
The band’s last album of original material was 2010’s A Paean to Wilson.
