The Maccabees shared their enthusiasm: “When we were first starting out in Brighton, we did not imagine that 20 years on we would be headlining Brighton Beach. It is a very special thing for us to be doing this show outdoors on Brighton Beach and we intend to make this the best Maccabees show ever. Even better than the one at Concorde 2 that got us banned because fans were hanging from the ceiling. You will do well to hang from the ceiling at Brighton Beach.”
The band's reunion shows in 2025, including a headline slot at All Points East and Glastonbury, were met with critical acclaim.

They also have a string of UK shows lined up for July, including Alexandra Palace Park and the Eden Project, with warm-up gigs in Edinburgh and Newcastle. Find the remaining tickets here.
Guitarist Felix White reflected on the band's recent experiences: “The year we’ve just had was so special to all of us, and so unexpected, that it has put some momentum in everyone collectively… and who wouldn’t want to do all that again?”

White hinted at potential new music, stating that these shows “will either be the last Maccabees shows, or we’ll try and make some music and see where it goes”.
He further elaborated on the band's approach to new material: “I think The Maccabees is never going to be a thing where you go, ‘Oh, we got another record, another record, another record…’ because, for better or worse, everyone cares too much about it.
“If we can get together and really feel all the stuff when you’re playing a song together – even if you’re in a bad mood, you can’t help but smile really big and have all the clichés like hairs on the back of your neck [standing up]… if we can find that secret again, then that will be a really amazing thing.”
