The Pretty Reckless Announce New Album 'DEAR GOD' and Drop Punk-Fueled Single 'When I Wake Up'
The Pretty Reckless, fronted by Taylor Momsen, are gearing up to release their fifth studio album, 'DEAR GOD,' on June 26 via Fearless Records. They've also dropped the lead single, 'When I Wake Up,' and announced a world tour.

The Pretty Reckless are back, unleashing new music and revealing details of their upcoming album.
The Taylor Momsen-fronted rock powerhouse has officially announced their fifth studio album, DEAR GOD, slated for release on June 26th through Fearless Records. Simultaneously, they've dropped the album's electrifying lead single, "When I Wake Up," on Saturday, March 14th.
DEAR GOD is described by the band as one of their most authentic and uncompromising works to date. The album is built upon introspective songwriting, vulnerability, and unbridled artistic expression. The 14-track collection will also feature "For I Am Death," the band's chart-topping single from the previous year.
A headlining world tour in support of DEAR GOD has also been announced, hitting North American cities like New Orleans, Dallas, and Los Angeles before heading overseas to Europe.
Momsen describes the new single, "When I Wake Up," as a cautionary tale. "It’s the story of a dream becoming a nightmare," she stated.
She added, "When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can’t see it. It’s a good time…" Musically, "When I Wake Up" leans into a punk-driven sound, all while keeping the band’s signature explosive guitars and Momsen’s powerhouse vocals.
The album announcement caps off an already busy period for the group. The Pretty Reckless performed at the 2026 MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring Mariah Carey, appeared at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony—where Momsen performed alongside Soundgarden for their induction—and spent two years as direct support on AC/DC’s PWR UP Tour.
The Pretty Reckless’ “For I Am Death” previously hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart (dated Nov. 8), marking the band’s eighth No. 1 and fourth consecutive chart-topper. This streak began in 2020 with “Death by Rock and Roll,” which led the chart for three weeks, followed by “And So It Went” and “Only Love Can Save Me Now” in 2021.
With eight No. 1 hits, The Pretty Reckless currently holds the record for the most chart-toppers by a woman-fronted act in the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart’s 44-year history, surpassing Halestorm. DEAR GOD arrives on June 26th, promising a potent dose of unapologetic rock.
