Wheeler Walker Jr. Announces Final Album 'Pullin' Out' and Farewell Tour, Taking One Last Shot at Nashville
After a decade of shaking up the music scene with his unique blend of crude humor and country authenticity, Wheeler Walker Jr. — the alter ego of comedian Ben Hoffman — is preparing to bid farewell. He's announced his final album, *Pullin' Ou...

After a decade spent masterfully blending the lines between country music and stand-up comedy, Wheeler Walker Jr. is riding off into the sunset. The artist, known for his unapologetic and often outrageous lyrics, has announced his impending retirement, marked by a final album and a grand farewell tour.
His highly anticipated final album, Pullin' Out, is set to drop on September 25. Following its release, Walker Jr. will embark on his concluding journey, the Pullin' Out: The Farewell Tour, kicking off on October 15.
Wheeler Walker Jr., the provocative country music alter ego of comedian Ben Hoffman, has carved out a unique niche in the industry. He's notched five No. 1 albums on Billboard's Comedy chart, with two of those even breaking into the top 10 on the Country Albums chart. His 2016 debut, Redneck Sht*, made history as the first album to simultaneously chart on both Billboard's Country Albums and Comedy Albums charts.
True to his form, Walker Jr. didn't pull any punches when announcing his departure. In a statement, he lamented the current state of country music: “I can’t do this anymore. Every song in Nashville is written by twelve idiots named Chase about trucks they don’t own and farms they never worked on. I really don’t wanna be around when country music becomes fully AI, which sadly will be better than most of the crap they’re putting out now.”
The Pullin' Out album marks Wheeler Walker Jr.'s sixth collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, renowned for his work with artists like Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson. To give fans a taste of what's to come, Walker Jr. has also unleashed a new track and accompanying video, "F—k This Bar."
The extensive Pullin' Out: The Farewell Tour will crisscross North America, hitting major cities including Austin, Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Seattle, alongside several dates across Canada. The epic journey is slated to conclude with a monumental show at Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium on May 15, 2027. Tickets for the tour went on sale Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. local time.
