Yo Gabba GabbaLand! Season 2 Soundtrack Features Indie Rock Heavyweights
The second season of 'Yo Gabba GabbaLand!' is here, and the soundtrack is packed with indie rock and alternative stars like Chvrches, Sharon Van Etten, and more.
The Nickelodeon TV series Yo Gabba Gabba! always maintained a close connection with the indie rock world. When the show relaunched on Apple TV as Yo Gabba GabbaLand! two years ago, that pattern continued. The soundtrack for the first season featured children's music from artists like Kurt Vile, Ty Segall, and Thundercat.
Season 2 premieres today, and so does its soundtrack. The tracklist features an impressive assortment of names including Chvrches, Sharon Van Etten, Sleigh Bells, Santigold, Hatchie, King Tuff, hemlocke springs, Silversun Pickups, Ginger Root, Still Woozy, Chicano Batman, Mates Of State, Turnpike Troubadours, Yola, CHAI, the Aquabats!, Ziggy Marley, Freedom Fry, and Tiffany Haddish. There's also a cute track where Flea builds the "beat of the day."
