Yungblud Wants to Pen James Bond Theme with Oasis: 'A British Artist's Goal'
Yungblud expresses his desire to collaborate with Oasis on a James Bond theme, adding fuel to the ongoing rumors surrounding the iconic film franchise.
Yungblud has revealed his ambition to record a James Bond theme, ideally in collaboration with Oasis.
Rumors have been circulating that Amazon MGM is eyeing the band for the next 007 movie theme. Noel Gallagher addressed the speculation last month, telling Talksport, “This James Bond thing? What, Oasis? Nah.” However, he added, “What for Oasis to do it? Absolutely. Of course. It would be an absolute honour, and I think those kind of things should be done by Brits not Yanks.”
Noel clarified that the Bond franchise hadn't contacted Oasis, but he joked about playing "a Mancunian villain" in the next film.
Liam Gallagher also weighed in on the rumors, posting on X, “It’s happening you wait till you hear it it’s the best BOND tune ever”.
In a recent Kerrang interview, Yungblud stated, “I would fucking love to. For any British artist, a Bond song is the goal and in the same league as headlining Glastonbury.” He added, “I’d be down for a collaboration on a Bond song if Liam and Noel would fucking have me.”

Noel's interest in a Bond theme isn't new. In 2008, he told NME he’d “written a couple of Bond theme tunes,” reiterating that it's a “bit of a piss-take that the greatest British agent of all time has to be soundtracked by a bunch of fucking Americans”.

In 2015, Noel said he would record a Bond theme “in a heartbeat,” and in 2016, he reiterated his willingness. Paul Weller revealed in 2017 that he and Noel had written “half” of a potential Bond theme.
Liam expressed his interest in 2019, suggesting producers “give us a call, why not” and claiming he met Barbara Broccoli in 2017 for initial discussions.

Since Amazon MGM took over the Bond franchise, Denis Villeneuve (Dune) has been confirmed as the next film's director, with Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) overseeing the screenplay.
The producers are reportedly seeking a “fresh face” to replace Daniel Craig, who departed after No Time To Die (2021). Callum Turner recently became a bookies favorite.
