6ix9ine Sparks Outrage with Controversial Comments on Girlfriend's Pregnancy
6ix9ine (Daniel Hernandez) faces backlash after making disturbing remarks about his girlfriend's pregnancy during a gender reveal party, igniting controversy online.
The rapper's girlfriend, Aliday Alter, revealed her pregnancy in April.
6ix9ine is once again at the center of controversy, this time due to comments made regarding his girlfriend’s pregnancy.
The 30-year-old rapper (real name Daniel Hernandez, formerly known as Tekashi 6ix9ine) sparked outrage during an unborn child’s gender reveal party, stating to a group of streamers that the pregnancy would be terminated if the baby were a girl.
“If it’s not a boy, it’s an a-bor-tion,” 6ix9ine declared in a clip from a livestream at the event, as reported by TMZ.
The streamers – Adin Ross, Clavicular, and N3ON – appeared visibly uncomfortable, awkwardly laughing off the comment before 6ix9ine introduced them to his girlfriend, Aliday Alter. The streamers then inquired about Alter's prediction for the baby's gender, to which she laughingly responded that she believed it was a girl. 6ix9ine then doubled down on his abortion claims, asserting that she was in agreement.
“She’s down,” the rapper stated. “She’s open-minded.”
Fortunately, it was later revealed during the party that the couple is expecting a baby boy.
Alter initially announced her pregnancy in April, sharing a photo on the beach in a cheetah print dress showcasing her baby bump. She and 6ix9ine have reportedly been dating for approximately a year, according to TMZ.
“My world is about to change,” she wrote on Instagram.
6ix9ine is reportedly already a father to a 12-year-old daughter with ex-girlfriend Sara Molina, as well as another daughter, 7, with Marlayna M.
In January, 6ix9ine turned himself in to begin a three-month sentence for violating the terms of his supervised release tied to his racketeering case. The Brooklyn native was found with cocaine and MDMA and also admitted to assaulting a man who allegedly taunted him about cooperating with authorities during a trip to a Florida mall.
