Billie Eilish Doubles Down on Veganism, Faces Backlash After Graphic Slaughterhouse Posts
Billie Eilish is facing backlash after posting graphic slaughterhouse videos on her Instagram story, reiterating her stance against eating meat and advocating for animal rights.

Billie Eilish has long been an outspoken advocate for animal rights. The pop star, a vegan since age 12, promoted her 2024 album, Hit Me Hard And Soft, with meatless versions of Hot Ones and Chicken Shop Date.
Last week, in an interview with Elle, Eilish stated that eating meat is "inherently wrong" and incompatible with loving animals. This sparked considerable backlash, but she's not backing down.
On her Instagram Story today, Eilish shared graphic slaughterhouse videos, many marked as sensitive content by Instagram. Her message was clear: "so stay fucking mad at ME. i really dont give a goddamn fuck."
She followed the videos with a powerful statement:
> go watch a documentary or two and some footage of what is done to the animals u claim to love and what it does to the planet u pretend to love as well. if that footage was hard for u to watch i encourage u to pls take a look at urself. like i am so tired of standing up for/having empathy for living beings being controversial. pls continue to live in a constant state of cognitive dissonance and denial and try to convince urself that ur not living a lie. mwah
Meanwhile, the premiere of her 3D concert film took place last night in Los Angeles, where she debuted her boyfriend, Nat Wolff, on the red carpet.
