Anna Calvi Announces EP Shares New Video with Iggy Pop

Anna Calvi is set to release her new EP, Is This All There Is?, on March 20 via Domino. The record boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Laurie Anderson, Iggy Pop, and Matt Berninger. It also includes her previously released cover of Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s “I See a Darkness,” featuring Perfume Genius.

Is This All There Is? marks the beginning of a trilogy of records, each exploring themes of identity and romance. Calvi shares that becoming a parent profoundly impacted her perspective, inspiring the EP. "Having a child was so transformative it made me consider the possibility that everything in life could potentially shift, and that is scary but incredibly freeing,” she explained. “I didn’t want to take anything for granted any more. I want to exist in the best way for my child. I wanted to ask the most basic human question—is this all there is?”

In recent years, Calvi has also made her mark as a TV composer, creating the scores for two seasons of Peaky Blinders in 2023. Before this EP, she released her full-length album, Hunter, in 2018, followed by a reimagined version, Hunted, in 2020.
